As summer is finally approaching and the sun is coming out, getting outside is always first on everyone's mind! However, lathering on the sunscreen tends to be forgotten and coming back inside to red, inflamed skin is never fun. Lavender essential oil is great for helping with inflammation and calming redness of the skin. It can soothe sunburns, and aid in relaxation or de-stressing from a hard day. There are many uses for lavender and I turn to this one often! For example, use it as an aromatic spray on your pillow before bed or a room freshener like Amber’s Essentials all natural homemade Aromatic Spray. It makes a great body lotion as well.
